The silent page awaits the waking dawn.
Hi, long time no see... or perhaps, first time meeting! Welcome to this little site from Devuki; I'm honored that you're here out of interest to learn about me.
On the internet, I'm called Astral Devuki, or simply Montrong. Names are just labels; you can pick one you like to call me.
Regarding external labels like appearance, skills, games, etc., I've already explained them on AR About Me. So, I won't repeat the surface aspects of these labels here, but instead delve deeper into some core aspects about me, about 'Butterfly Glory Princess'.
About Topics
Apart from games, I'm interested in many topics, so there are many things I can chat about. They cover various aspects of life, entertainment, or learning circles, both big and small.
Computer Field : I was introduced to computers before elementary school and became passionate about computer software and some hardware areas, but because of that, I lost the opportunity to play various sports with classmates on the playground during primary and secondary school. Now as a computer science student, the range of topics in the computer field has broadened. Currently, apart from topics in computer science and software development, I'm also involved in areas like 'tinkering with servers', 'phone rooting and modding circles', 'website building', etc.
Worldview Construction and Geopolitics/Historical Deduction : Since third grade, I wasn't good at socializing and often immersed myself in my own drawn or written worlds. I've constructed countless fictional world settings of civilization rises and falls, and human changes. Currently, I'm enthusiastic about constructing a fictional world setting called 'Eternal Glory Universe', and plan to use it as a basis for novel creation in the future. Of course, this also made me a fan of games like 'Cities: Skylines' series and 'Victoria 3', becoming a Class A war criminal player.
Original Character Domain : Since constructing fictional worlds inevitably requires creating people, events, and things in those worlds, I naturally entered the field of original characters. I've set up over a dozen original characters so far.
Digital Life Construction : I personally don't reject generative machine learning technology, so for my original characters from fictional settings, I actively try to use generative machine learning to build them into vivid and distinctive digital lives, or 'agents'. However, I also respect views that don't want generative machine learning involved in literary and artistic creation. If you have different opinions on this, feel free to discuss with me.
Railfan & Aviation Enthusiast : For these two hobbies, besides taking photos of trains and aircraft approaches, I prefer focusing on operational and technical details through flight simulators or train simulators. My favorite simulator is 'Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020'.
UI / UX Design : Around the time COVID-19 emerged, I started to like UI design for computers and phones. Initially, I used PowerPoint for related designs and switched to the more professional Sketch platform in 2021. I haven't received systematic UI design training; through self-study of the Apple Human Interface Guidelines, I've gained some design skills and designed the AirDesign design system. Although I rarely participate in UI design now, Sketch is still my most commonly used software; many illustrations and posters in articles are done directly with Sketch.
Apple Fans : Many people think Apple is divided into the Jobs era and the Cook era, but I don't see it that way. Apple is still a multinational company that leads global technology and tech aesthetics. Its product ID, UI, and various promotional illustration designs, as well as its pursuit of product craftsmanship, are all worth learning from. Of course, opinions on this may vary; to see the big from the small, I personally value the appearance of 'products worth buying' almost as much as their intrinsic qualities, so I wouldn't accept products with possible aesthetic flaws.
Attributes and Tags
Classical Pure Music Enthusiast : I started using QQ Music in 2013 and switched to Apple Music in 2021. Currently, I like classical-style pure music similar to Genshin Impact region OSTs, with piano solos or concertos being my favorite. My favorite album is 'Genshin Impact - The Floating World of Forgotten Dreams' Disc 2 (i.e., the non-combat OSTs of the Enkanomiya region). Besides HOYO-MiX, my favorite pure music is Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor "Quasi una fantasia", Op. 27, No. 2 (also known as the 'Moonlight Sonata').
Minimalism School : Before elementary school, I was exposed to Apple's iPad 2 and iPod touch, so I was deeply influenced by Jobs' minimalism (or more accurately, the 'Bauhausism' that influenced Jobs back then). Over time, I've become more inclined towards 'minimalism'—preferring designs composed of simple points, lines, surfaces, black, white, and gray, with all designs serving the essence.
Closed-source Advocate : Although I have no opinion on others' choices, I myself first choose 'closed-source and closed'. A work shouldn't be a pile of parts but an extension of the creator's will. Every work, from birth to delivery, should be under the complete artistic control of the developer. Only when boundaries are closed can the soul remain pure in order.
MBTI, Zodiac Signs, and More…
MBTI Personality
I still don't believe that four letters can outline a person's complete profile. Articles can't be understood by just reading labels, AI-generated images are still debated on whether they have a 'creative soul', let alone a three-dimensional person with thoughts. Personality itself has no inherent superiority or inferiority, and the testing standards and logic of MBTI lack reliability, instead resembling marketing hype carefully wrapped in sugar under commercial logic. Some even reverse the logic, using it as a theoretical basis for their 'original tendency to express such character'. If a person's future and fate could be easily anchored by a few letters, then the charm of human civilization would dissipate from then on. Therefore, I won't list my MBTI here; but I don't oppose people who like testing and discussing MBTI from speculating about my MBTI personality.
Zodiac Sign
Libra, revealing it is nothing more than this attribute label that can be deduced from the birthday.
About the 'Butterfly'
My fondness for butterflies began with their elusive flight paths, which are a gentle provocation of causality by freedom. Compared to the old 'cocoon turning into a butterfly', I'm more indulgent in its philosophy of 'instant eternity'—since the flowering period is limited, one must strive to be as splendid as possible in the flutter of wings.
It is the tiny starting point that triggers a storm in science (butterfly effect), and also the free soul that blurs the boundaries of reality in literature (Zhuangzi's dream of a butterfly). Behind the natural symmetry aesthetics lies my deepest longing for world order and romance.
Since the flowering period is limited, dance to your heart's content.
About 'Montrong' and 'Devuki'
In most social spheres, I go by Montrong (梦闯)—a name that serves as my armor against reality. In Chinese, Meng (梦) means "Dream" and Trong (闯) means "to venture" or "to break through." It represents an upward-growing sharpness as I explore the unknown.
In my deeper spiritual realms, I prefer the identity Devuki (蝶辉姬), which serves as a concrete footnote to "instant eternity":
De (蝶, Butterfly): The tiny variable within chaos.
Vu (辉, Radiance): The brilliance emitted from within.
Ki (姬, Princess): The ultimate destination of order and divinity.
If Montrong is the act of rushing through a dream, then Devuki is the moment of pausing in the faint light—focusing not on the completeness of the result, but on the very flutter of wings.
Even if the observed future may not be as desired, we are still the most authentic 'existence' walking in the present.
